At the Centre of Research for Development, Parul University, Vadodara (Gujarat), the Nanotechnology laboratory was set up during the month of December 2022 with the purpose of developing nano-materials especially for rapidly assimilating and learning, research processes applicable to therapeutics and diagnostics. Also, the lab is intended towards finding potential applications of metal and metal-oxide based nano-structures. The laboratory is working for developing nano-structure based sensors and drug delivery carriers. The laboratory is well equipped with the facilities for performing routine nano-technological practices by using bottom-up approaches. Also, laboratory is working on latent fingerprint enhancement methods for forensic-based studies.
Research Activities at Lab :
Biological and chemical synthesis of metal and metal-oxide nanoparticles and
C - dots for multitudinous applications
Method development employing nanostructures for the detection and
enhancement of latent fingerprints on various porous surfaces, and also from
underwater sunken utensils.
Establishing nanoparticle-based sensors for the detection and quantification
of illicit drugs
Nanocarrier development for drug, gene, si-RNA and DNA delivery
Physicochemical studies of colloidal solutions
Elimination of environmental pollutants by the process of Nanoremediation
